Original Description
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.22 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in allow-always wrapper persistence that allows attackers to bypass approval checks by persisting wrapper-level allowlist entries instead of validating inner executable intent. Remote attackers can approve benign wrapped system.run commands and subsequently execute different payloads without approval, enabling remote code execution on gateway and node-host execution flows.
The vulnerability can be exploited over the network without needing physical access. It is difficult for an attacker to exploit this vulnerability and may require special conditions. An attacker needs high-level or administrative privileges. The attacker needs the user to perform some action, like clicking a link. The impact is confined to the system where the vulnerability exists. There is a high impact on the confidentiality of the information. There is a high impact on the integrity of the data. There is a high impact on the availability of the system.
